3. Windowed Envelopes

A windowed envelope has a plastic film window to allow the recipient’s address to be printed on the paper inside. It has become ubiquitous among modern commercial mailings as it saves time, cost and maintains quality.

Windowed envelopes come in a variety of sizes but are typically only available in white.

4. Quality and Paperweight

The paper weight of letters can span from an economical, albeit less robust 75gsm to a prestige 120gsm:

  • 75gsm envelopes are designed for everyday use and are lightweight albeit at this low weight they will only be available in manila as white paper is not strong enough

  • 90gsm envelopes are the basic, economical option for white envelopes that are available with or without windows

  • 100gsm envelopes are the robust paper choice that we would recommend for standard letters

  • 110gsm offers a premium letter option when a basic letter will not do!

  • 115gsm letters are robust brown envelopes to make sure the contents are kept safe
